FAQ
How do I play the Bump games?
There's a tutorial at the beginning of each app. The objective is to control as many spaces on the board as possible - the first one to a certain number of squares wins. In order to take control of a spaces on your turn, you must roll a number and answer an addition or multiplication problem correctly. You can prevent someone from taking over one of your spaces by rolling the same number twice. Then, you get a "protector" (Shamrock, Snowman, Bumblebee) for the space.
In each game, the difficulty (or multiplier) can be set in the options menu. Have fun!
Is there a single player mode for each Bump game?
YES! We added this feature to accommodate classrooms with an odd number of students in centers, or for classrooms with students that need extra individual practice. We like games that are social experiences -- playing with another person on one iPad promotes cooperative learning, verbally talking about the math and the game, and social interactions. At the same time, we know that some students learn better doing self-guided practice. If you'd like to let us know your thoughts on this feature, please Contact Us.
Can I play the Bump games on my iPhone?
YES! This is a universal app. We recommend playing on the iPad if possible, since younger students have an easier time tapping squares and rolling the dice. If you'd like to let us know your thoughts on this feature, please Contact Us.
Is there a Google Play version available?
Not yet - this is also something we are considering for our next release. We might even make a web version of the app available in the future. If you'd like to let us know your thoughts on this feature, please Contact Us.
